Three Amazing Things by Coffee With Steve

Instead of listing what you want to do, list three amazing things you’ve already done.

Three amazing things I’ve done:

I published “Neighborhood Mums”—my first-ever short story—and it wasn’t just passable, it was praised at the freakin’ Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
That’s like walking into the Vatican and having the Pope say, “Damn, kid. You’ve got style.” I wrote that story while juggling a pizza shop, sleep apnea, a baby at home, and a math class that made no sense—and still landed it.

I more than doubled my teaching salary with real estate—then left teaching behind to become my own boss. Not theoretical. Not someday. I actually did it. I stepped off the cliff and landed in a new life. I stopped tolerating the system that underpaid and overextracted—and then proved to myself that I could thrive outside of it.

I launched and am continuing to grow a community-driven newsletter—Coffee with Steve—with hundreds of readers. I didn’t just blog. I created a platform with readers who show up, reply, share my work, and fuel my ecosystem. Of course, I couldn’t have done the newsletter without you. 😄

Coffee With Steve is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
