It may be a new year, but Howard Hanna Real Estate Services is picking up right where it left off. On Wednesday, the family-owned brokerage announced its acquisition of Ohio-based Home Experts Realty.

Founded in 2011, Home Experts Realty has grown to nearly 400 agents. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Home Experts Realty has built a strong, values-driven foundation that aligns perfectly with Howard Hanna’s mission and culture,” Shawn Adams, the president of Howard Hanna’s Ohio South Central region, said in a statement. “They’ve built a brokerage that values its agents like family, and we are thrilled to welcome them into ours.”

Home Experts Realty president and principal broker Clyde Corle believes the deal will have a strong impact on real estate in southwest Ohio.

“The exceptional resources available to our agents and the shared knowledge of our brokerages will be powerful,” Corle said in a statement. “We look forward to a very rewarding future for all parties involved.”

This is Howard Hanna’s third merger since late October, when the company announced its acquisitions of Dayton, Ohio-based Big Hill Realty and Hilton Head, South Carolina-based The Alliance Group Realty.

The three mergers have helped the company expand its reach by adding more than 600 new agents to the firm.

In late 2024, Howard Hanna president and CEO Hoby Hanna told HousingWire that his company was focusing on “taking more market share and growing in our existing footprint” in 2025.

“You look at the Florida market in relation to our footprint, and there is a strong migration flow between New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and even North Carolina to Florida. On paper, being in that market makes a lot of sense, so we are looking at some possible acquisitions in markets like that,” Hanna said.

“But if someone hasn’t heard of us in California, that is OK. We want nice, steady growth because we are looking to do this for a long time.”
