HomeServices of America announces more executive changes by Brooklee Han for HousingWire

Roughly two weeks after HomeServices of America announced that Chris Kelly was taking over as CEO from Gino Blefari, the firm is back with more C-suite changes.

On Thursday, the firm announced the appointment of Alex Seavall to chief financial and operations officer, along with the appointment of Candace Adams as executive vice president of HomeServices of America, the role vacated by Kelly.

Seavall previously served as the company’s chief financial officer. In his expanded role, he will have executive oversight of the firm’s finance, shared services, information technology, human resources, franchise services, relocation division and business partners group.

Adams is also an internal hire, having previously served as the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties. She will continue serving as the chair of that brokerage, but Brenda Maher has been appointed as the president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England and New York Properties.

“Alex has long played a critical role in aligning our strategic goals with operational execution. His ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance has helped move our organization forward — and this expanded title reflects the impact he already has across our enterprise,” Kelly said in a statement.

“Candace has earned the deep respect of her peers and consistently delivered results by investing in people and fostering collaboration. Her leadership will be instrumental in strengthening the connectivity and effectiveness of our companies nationwide.”
