Compass is strengthening its presence in the Nutmeg State. On Friday, the largest brokerage in the country by sales volume announced that The Jennifer Leahy Team will be leaving Douglas Elliman to join the Robert Reffkin-helmed firm.

Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, the team is led by Jennifer Leahy and consists of seven agents. The team was brokered at Douglas Elliman since 2020 and works across all sectors of the real estate market, from multimillion-dollar mansions to starter homes.

Leahy cited access to exclusive inventory through Compass Private Exclusives as a reason for the move.

“Compass empowers sellers to market their homes on their terms and gives buyers access to inventory unavailable elsewhere,” Leahy said in a statement. “This move allows me to focus on selling homes while leveraging technology to streamline operations and deliver the best results for my clients.”

In 2023, Leahy and her team did $167.6 million in sales volume, making them the top-ranked medium-sized team in Connecticut by volume and the No. 53 team in the country, according to the 2024 RealTrends Verified rankings.

“I am excited to welcome Jennifer and her team to Compass,” Reffkin said in a statement.
